Retiring old parish website 1st Sept 2026
Closure of the old Alstonefield website and invite to groups, clubs and societies to have a link to their own content/contact details/information via this new website.

As discussed in Parish Council meetings over the last year, the old Alstonefield Parish website will soon be retired. The Council has had to make this change for a number of reasons:
- Achieving compliance with government website standards for accessibility
- Increasing costs to parish
- Difficulties with out of date content
- High levels of routine maintenance effort needed by volunteer website administrator
- Dwindling number of visitors to the site.
A date for closing the site was agreed at the July 1st Parish Council meeting as 1st September 2026.
Local groups, clubs, societies who would like to have a link to their own content site/facebook page or similar from this Parish Council website can do so by contacting the Parish Clerk with details on clerk@alstonefield-pc.gov.uk.
